Gulch

Just on the fringe of downtown Nashville, the Gulch has direct access to Interstates 24, 40 and 65, as well as ample parking.  Public transit is also accessible in the Gulch, including Nashville’s free Music City Circuit, which runs a route between the Gulch and the Riverfront. Because of its convenient location, you can reach Demonbreun Hill, Music Row, Midtown and Downtown on foot.

A bustling railroad corridor in the early 1900s, the Gulch today consists of new and revitalized condominiums and apartments, with the majority of residences being constructed from around 2008 through the present.  The area continues to be under development, with both residential and commercial projects in the works.

Having so many restaurant and bar options within a relatively small area makes the Gulch one of Nashville’s more popular destinations for dining and nightlife.  Unwind on Friday night with a sampling of local craft beer and shareable snacks with friends, or enjoy a hickory grilled filet mignon and glass of cabernet before taking in some live bluegrass.   After a Saturday morning shrimp-and-grits brunch and specialty latte, spend the afternoon checking out the latest exhibition at the art museum or try browsing the retail shops in the Gulch. Whether searching for that trendy one-of-a-kind dress, handmade Western boots, the perfect gift for your best friend, or hip home décor, shopping in the Gulch will not disappoint.  During the week, residents can easily run errands on foot to the bank, grocery, salon, chiropractor, and dentist, and have a few fitness facilities to choose from without leaving the Gulch neighborhood.

The Gulch continues on across Broadway and is commonly referred to as the North Gulch, which also offers local restaurants, bars and live music, as well as the Gulch Greenway.
